SINGAPORE, 3 FEBRUARY 2025 – The 25th edition of the Singapore Cup kicked off with a bang with last season’s Cup finalists Hougang United defeating Albirex Niigata (S) to top Group A, while Brunei DPMM held BG Tampines Rovers to a surprise draw. In Group B,  Balestier Khalsa currently leads the way after edging Geylang International in a nine-goal thriller while Thai League 1 side BG Pathum United secured an opening win over Tanjong Pagar United.
